Opening an Account
To use the services provided by Goldenbids you must register. To do this Click on the "Register" link on the top of the Home Page and complete all of the Registration Details You can only register once under the same postal address and you will be asked for a surname and password. Please don’t choose a user name that may be deemed offensive to other users - Failure to comply may result in the termination of your account.
It is your responsibility to keep your password safe, if however you forget your password it can be recovered. To do this - from the login screen select forgotten password and a new one will be emailed to you. You can access it directly by clicking here.
Each user is liable for all activities on the Goldenbids website when the user account and associated password is used. Goldenbids cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage caused by any other user accessing your account details.
Can I change my personal details once I have registered?
Yes – by logging onto the Goldenbids site in the normal way, clicking the "login in” on the Home Page. You then need to click into "My Account" where you will find “My Profile” and the following links:
- My Golden Bids – From here you can buy more bids and pay for any outstanding successful purchases
- Edit Profile - This allows you to change your username, date of birth and newsletter settings
- Change Password - This enables you to change your password
- My Addresses - This allows you to change your delivery and/or billing address
Can I monitor my account and my credits?
Yes - the first thing you need to do is to log onto Goldenbids by "Signing In" on the Home Page. You then click on "My Account" and will be shown the following options:
My Details
- Purchase Bids - Allows you to purchase more bids
- My Bids - This gives you an overview of what items you have bid on, together with a current balance of your remaining bids
- My Bid Buddies - This provides an indication of any live bid buddies that you might have
- My Account - This provides an overview of the bid packages you have purchased
- My Credits - Provides an indication of what credits you have earned in failed auctions
- Won Auctions – Shows products you have successfully won at auction
- Referrals - Provides an overview of any referrals you have - remember you get 10 free bids for every referral.
- Invite My Friends - Allows you to invite your friends to join Goldenbids
Are my personal details safe with Goldenbids?
Any personal information you provide to Goldenbids is controlled solely by Goldenbids. The information that you provide to us when you register will only be used by Goldenbids to dispatch your products promptly and communicate with you. Goldenbids will not, under any circumstances, pass on your details to any third parties – other than distributors who are despatching your product. Goldenbids cannot take responsibility for what contracted out services may do with your information, however, they must process the personal information in accordance with the UK's Data Protection Act.
How Secure is my personal information when I am using Goldenbids?
Very secure - Information transferred during transmission is encrypted to 128 bit encryption standard. Remember, Goldenbids does not hold any financial data about it’s users when items are paid for through their own Paypal account. PayPal is seen as the safest and most secure format for online payments with extremely good protection methods.
Closing your account
To close your account click on the following: 'My Account', followed by 'Details' on the left hand side, then click on 'Close Account'. You are also required to confirm the closure of your account by clicking on the 'Close Account' button.
Please remember, if you close your account, Goldenbids is unable to offer any refund for any unused bids or credits you may have.
